ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Age Limit:

  • For JRF and SRF – Below 32 years
  • For Project Assistant – Below 25 years

Age relaxation is applicable as per the CSIR rules.

Educational Qualification:

Senior Research Fellow and Junior Research Fellow

  • M.Sc.

Candidates must complete their M.Sc. degree in chemistry with minimum 55% of marks from a recognized Institute/ University. The applicants should be NET/GATE qualified and it includes CISR-UGC/ qualified in JAM/ qualified in GPAT.

Experience

  • For Senior Research Fellow – the applicants must have minimum 2 years of experience in relevant field and must publish a Journal in SCI Journal.

Project Assistant – Level -II

  • M.Sc.

Candidates must complete their M.Sc. degree in chemistry with minimum 55% of marks from a recognized Institute.

Project Assistant – Level – I

  • B.Sc.

Candidates should complete their B.Sc. degree Biotechnology/ Biochemistry/ Botany with minimum 55% of marks from a recognized Institute.

Selection Process:

  • Written Test
  • Interview

The selection will be based on above process.

Pay Scale:

  • Senior Research Fellow – Rs.18000
  • Junior Research Fellow – Rs.14000
  • Project Assistant- Level – I –Rs.8000
  • Project Assistant – Level – II – Rs.14000

The Central Salt and Marine Chemicals Research Institute was founded in the year of 1954. This Institute is located in Gujarat. The technologies developed in this Institute are Preparation of novel iodizing agent, preparation of nutrient- rich salt of plant origins and some more. The Research activities are Smart Materials, Crystal Engineering, Polymer Chemistry and development, Green Chemistry etc.
