Educational Qualification:

Assistant Engineer – Electronics Engineering

  • BE

Candidates should complete their Engineering in the field of Electronics and Communication Engineering or Electronics Engineering or Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering or Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering from a recognized Institute/University.

Junior Engineer – Civil/ Mechanical/ Electrical

  • Diploma

Candidates should complete their Diploma in the discipline of Civil Engineering/ Electrical Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering/ Electrical and Electronics Engineering from a recognized Institute.

Selection Process:

  • Written Test
  • Interview

Candidates can be selected on the basis of above process. Candidates submit all the original certificates for verification process.

Pay Scale:

  • Junior Engineer – Rs.15500 – 30340
  • Assistant Engineer – Rs.18880 – 37200

Application Fee

  • For General candidates – Rs.460
  • For SC/ST – Rs.230

In the year of 2010, the Meghalaya State Electricity Board introduced four corporations under the Meghalaya Power Sector. After that, the newly formed corporations are the Meghalaya Energy Corporation limited. Government of Meghalaya said that the new forum is comes under the Electricity act of 2003 and bring about accountability, competitiveness, transparency, reduction of losses and improved performance for better customer satisfaction. Once Meghalaya is a power supplied state. The state’s power generation capacity presently mere 175 MV. This power generation is total on Hydel based. The estimated hydro power generation is 3,000MV, but still 6 percentage has been achieved.
