The Karnataka state Police is the Law enforcement Agency for the Indian State of Karnataka. The Headquarters of the Karnataka State Police is located in Karnataka. This force is headed by the Director General of Police. The Administration of the district police is headed by a superintendent of Police. In a range of district comprise is led by Inspector General of Police. The Deputy Inspector general of Police are headed by Mysore and Hubli-Dharwad. In the Police Departments there are two heads they are The Director General and the Inspector General of Police. Each Additional Director general of Police is in charge of a particular function in Law and Order, technical services and crime, Intelligence, administration.

There are four commissions which having different rank in that the Bangalore Commissioner has the rank of Additional Director General of Police, the commissioners in Hubli-Dharwar and Mysore has the rank of Inspector general of Police and the commissioner of Mangalore holds the rank of Deputy Inspector General of Police and the Additional Director General of Police holds the rank of Deputy Inspector General of Police.
